Overview

Sketchmate ("we", "our", "the app") is a real-time multiplayer drawing party game for iOS and Android. We collect only what we need to run game rooms, accounts, friends, pencils balances, purchases, and optional QR friend-code scanning.

We do not sell personal data, serve ads, or use your data for third-party advertising.

Data We Collect

Player name — The display name you enter or the name attached to your signed-in account. It is shown to players in your game room and on friend/leaderboard surfaces.
Account information — If you sign in, we receive the account identifiers needed to authenticate you, such as your Supabase user id, email address, display name, and provider token from Apple, Google, or email magic link sign-in.
Friends and leaderboard data — Signed-in players have a friend code, friends list, and pencils balance so cross-platform friends and leaderboards can work.
Drawings — Sketches you create during gameplay are sent to our server for live multiplayer sync and AI judging. Drawings are processed during the game session and are not stored as a permanent game history.
Purchases — If you buy pencils, Apple or Google processes the payment. We receive purchase entitlement information needed to credit and reconcile your pencils balance.

Camera and QR Codes

On Android, Sketchmate asks for camera access only when you choose to scan a friend's QR code. Camera frames are processed on your device by ML Kit Barcode Scanning to find a Sketchmate friend code. We do not record, store, or upload camera frames. You can always add a friend by typing their code manually instead.

How We Use Your Data

Gameplay — Player names and drawings are shared with other players in your game room during active sessions.
AI Judging — Your drawings are analyzed by Cloudflare Workers AI (Llama 3.2 Vision) to generate scores and humorous verdicts. Drawings are not retained after processing.
Authentication — Apple, Google, and email sign-in tokens are exchanged with Supabase for session management.
Friends and pencils — Friend codes, friend relationships, leaderboards, purchase entitlements, and pencils balances are used to provide signed-in multiplayer and currency features.

Data Storage & Retention

Game rooms are ephemeral and stored in Cloudflare Durable Objects. When a game ends, room data is deleted.
We do not maintain a permanent database of drawings or game history.
Signed-in account data such as your user id, email, friend code, friends list, leaderboard state, purchase entitlements, and pencils balance is stored while your account is active.
Authentication tokens are stored locally on your device using platform storage such as iOS UserDefaults or Android encrypted preferences, and can be cleared by signing out.

Children's Privacy

Sketchmate is intended for teens and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require an account to play as a guest, and guest gameplay does not create a persistent account profile.

Your Rights

You can sign out at any time to clear local session data from your device. To request deletion of account data we control, contact admin@easychamp.com from the email address connected to your Sketchmate account.

Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your Sketchmate account without reinstalling the app by emailing admin@easychamp.com with the subject "Delete my Sketchmate account" from the email address connected to your Sketchmate account.

When we process a deletion request, we delete or anonymize the account profile we control, including the user id, email address, display name, friend code, friends list, leaderboard state, pencils balance, and account-linked session data. Drawings and game rooms are already temporary and are not kept as a permanent account history.

Deletion requests are normally completed within 30 days. We may retain limited records when required for security, fraud prevention, purchase reconciliation, chargebacks, tax, accounting, or legal compliance.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
